How much does battery replacement cost?
The price depends on the battery and fitting requirements for your vehicle. Your written quote confirms the battery, fitting, registration and any travel charge, with any available genuine battery saving shown. Send your registration or VIN and suburb so we can check the correct battery and price.
Does my BMW or MINI battery need registration / coding?
We register your new battery to the car using BMW diagnostic software through the diagnostic (OBD) port. This is included with our battery replacement service and helps the vehicle manage charging correctly.
Can you fit a battery I supply?
Yes, we can fit and register a battery you supply. Send your registration or VIN and a clear photo of the battery label so we can confirm the battery type and capacity (Ah) are correct for your vehicle.
Does a battery warning always mean I need a new battery?
No. Messages such as increased battery discharge, vehicle battery low or battery replacement due can relate to battery condition, a low charge level or another electrical issue. Send a photo with your enquiry.
What does a starter battery message mean?
BMW and MINI may refer to the vehicle’s 12V battery as the starter battery in the app, on the vehicle screen or in an email notification. This normally refers to the battery used for starting the vehicle and supplying its electrical systems. It does not normally mean that the starter motor requires replacement. If you receive a starter battery warning, starter battery low message or starter battery notification, send a photo with your vehicle details when requesting a quote.
Is BMW Energy Diagnosis included?
Where available, we use BMW diagnostic software to review stored battery and power management information before registering the new battery. This forms part of the checks included with your replacement. Any concerns are explained to you.
Do you keep genuine batteries in stock?
We keep commonly used genuine BMW and MINI AGM batteries in stock. Battery requirements vary, so we confirm the correct specification, current stock and appointment availability before booking.
How long does a battery replacement take?
Most standard replacements take around 30 to 45 minutes, including registration and final checks. Some vehicles take longer, depending on access and what’s needed.
When can you replace my battery?
Mobile appointments are usually arranged on weekends. We can also make special arrangements during weekday evenings for battery replacement only, subject to availability.
